Leadership

TRUE LEADERSHIP

“We have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be

filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and

understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the

Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work

and increasing in the knowledge of God.” (Colossians 1:9-10, NASB)

John Haggai in Lead on, said, “Those who lead effectively have

a generous endowment of physical and emotional energy. They

have a compelling drive toward a specific purpose or goal. They

have mastery of the methods of achieving the aim they profess.

They are capable of sustaining the confidence, loyalty, and

frequently the affection of those whom they lead. They are

persuasive in enlisting followers to support the cause that

demonstrably leads to the follower’s own best interest.”

Keeping this in mind, perhaps some of the best leaders are among

the best of followers. And one doesn’t have to be the director of

an organization, the manager of a company, to be a great leader.

Some of the best leaders are mothers, teachers and servants.

The best leaders are those who lead by example… not by orders.

Think of Jesus… the Supreme Servant. The Supreme Leader!

Suggested prayer: “Dear God, please help me to so live that my life

will be a godly example in order that others seeing you in me will

want to follow in my steps. Gratefully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
