Good Success

YOU, TOO, CAN BE SUCCESSFUL

“This book of the law [the Bible] shall not depart out of your mouth;

but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe

to do according to all that is written therein: for then you will make

your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

(Joshua 1:9)

Brian Tracy, motivational specialist, said: “I found every single successful person

I’ve ever spoken to had a turning point and the turning point was where they made

a clear specific unequivocal decision that they were not going to live like this anymore.

That they were going to achieve success. Some people make that decision at 15

and some people make it at 50, and most people never make it at all.”

True, success is a choice. Once that choice is made, to achieve good success

it is critical to have a clearly defined, specific, and worthwhile goal. And then,

success is the ability to embrace that goal and employ all of your powers

to achieve that goal.

Joshua’s had a God-given specific goal. It was to conquer the Promised Land

and as long as he lived and operated in harmony with God’s will -- the principles

of which were to be found in God’s Word, the Bible -- and did his part,

God guaranteed him good success.

Choose success today, establish a clearly defined, worthwhile goal, work and live

in harmony with God’s will, and you, too, can have good success.

Suggested prayer, “Dear God, thank you that if I live and work in harmony

with your will, I, too, can achieve good success. Please help me to see clearly

what my God-given life purpose and goal is, commit and trust my way

to you, and then employ all of my powers to achieve that goal.

Gratefully in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
