We have heightened focus... when we are blind.

This morning, I had the chance, or so to say, a better and clearer idea,

of what it is being blind. While taking a bath, I closed my eyes to prevent

the lather from going in. I kept my eyes closed the whole time I was

rubbing my body. Although I can’t see a thing, and the vision was nil,

it was as if I can see exactly what is happening as I rub my arms, my legs,

my back, and my toes. In my mind, I can “see” how all these are happening.

I was thinking, then I understood. The eyes doesn’t have anything else on sight.

And rightly so, since 80% of the information that our brain receives is coming

from our eyes. And if our brain can process a billion different data any moment,

then a little calculation will help us:

With our eyes, we come to process 1,000,000,000 x 80% = 800,000,000 data.

The remaining 200,000,000 comes from the other senses.

If that 80% portion is shut off, imagine how much focus it adds!

The reproduction of sound from electrical signals in our hi-fi systems,

into the mechanical movement in our speakers, which is approximately only 7%,

we are already calling it “lifelike” sound reproduction.

The same is true converting chemical energy into mechanical movements,

which is approximately about 10% efficient, we already have race cars and

sports cars that can go at superfast speeds, not to mention jets.

If that were all increased to 100%, what would the result be?

And if we are all blinded, imagine how focused our brains would be!

Isn’t it any wonder why Christ would remind us to “walk by faith, and not by sight”?

CRP still at it...

The news last night indicated that there were products recall, specifically for

children’s garments, after an incident of a kid’s pajamas burning, causing burns

on the small child’s arms and legs. This was in New Zealand. Now, products from CRP

are banned in Europe. And this phenomena is spreading across the globe.

In the Phils, including even feeding bottles, specially the nipples, these are found

to also have a high content of hazardous chemicals. CRP is using formaldehyde and

another hazardous chemical. Textiles included. For infants, the use of such contaminated materials

will cause problems on liver, kidney, and genetics. An expert stated that boys become

a bit feminine, while girls become a bit masculine. And the effects on the liver and kidney

are lifelong. And many, many accounts of such incidents are being broadcasted daily.

Up to now, I’m just wondering what WHO is thinking? This is already a worldwide epidemic…

CRP at it... again!

The news last night indicated that products somewhere in Europe were recalled

due to poisonous substances/chemicals used in the manufacture of such items.

And these products are made where? None other than the giant country CRP.

They are standing up to their reputation. And guess what? The MNCs may yet

think of pulling their business out of that cheap-labor-big-profit country –

the damage is more than the supposed gain if wrought out of that place.

For months, this has been the unfading scenario during newstime, and it is simply

an indication of the infamous and unscrupulous ways that these race of yellow-skinned

people do their dealings. History confirms this, as has been recorded in our books and

study materials, to name a few.

And it may be a good news for other countries in the SEA region – once business is

pulled out from that country, it will be diverted to other cheap-labor-big-profit

fabrication site, and of course, minus the hazardous chemicals and substances.

Corrupt officials may be an exception.

I’m just wondering what will happen next…

My Disposition

After gone through some experiences and learning processes, I can say that

my disposition in life has changed.

1.       When I see somebody very aggressive, I’d think that that person hasn’t been into some big challenges yet.

2.      When I see somebody very idealistic, that person hasn’t been around real people and real situations, yet.

3.      When I see somebody very high-faluting, that person hasn’t been down and out, yet.

4.      When I see somebody very stingy, I know for certain that that person hasn’t experience begging, even just for the next meal.

5.       When I see somebody stiff-necked, that person hasn’t gone through a humiliating and humbling experience.

6.      When I see somebody bragging, that person hasn’t really accomplished much, and there is not yet in the airy head.

7.      When I see somebody looking down on others, that person hasn’t experienced being on the opposite side.

8.      When I see somebody who seems to know all, that person hasn’t lived the real life – yet.

9.      When I see somebody bellitling everybody else, that person has a lot of insecurities.

10.   When I see somebody bossing around, that person hasn’t really experienced safety.

I am always reminded of myself when I see these types of person day in and day out.

May God keep my feet on the groundand my eyes onto Him, that I may not look down on others.

May my hands be open – to freely receive and to freely give equally.

May my heart bleed when others are hurting, showing the same compassion as my Lord’s.

May I live the life worthy of His calling; may my life be a vessel fit for the Master.

Amen.
