Cures for Worry

CURES FOR WORRY

“Worry cannot survive in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.”

“A life without Christ is a life without peace.”

Worry is an unhealthy, destructive, mental and emotional habit.

It clogs the mind and impedes the individual’s ability and

performance as well as drain spiritual power and energy.

It is a weakness of the flesh that cannot be conquered by

the energy of the flesh.

It must be done by the power of God. And it is prayer that secures

that power. Prayer dispels the fog of human ignorance and

banishes the darkness of self-destructive errors in judgement.

Prayer gives necessary grace to block negative thoughts,

destructive attitudes and worries that torture the mind and

deteriorates the body.

* Worry cannot survive in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

* Worry divides the mind, but peace unites it, fastening it upon

worthwhile goals. A life without Christ is a life without peace.

Without Christ Jesus, you can have excitement, worldly success,

fulfilled dreams -- but never peace. Peace comes from God through

Christ, the Prince of Peace. “And the peace of God, which surpasses

all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through

Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:7)

Deep in the ocean, beneath the howling wind and breaking

billows, you can experience calm and peace.

The answer to all problems of man is to “Seek first the kingdom

of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added

to you.” (Matt 6:33) There is no need to fear or worry, if you can

trust God with your life, its past, present and future. You can cast

“all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Pet. 5:7)

If you have a need in your life, if there is a problem in your family,

do not be overcome by worry. Your heavenly Father cares for you.

Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap,

nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not much better than they? Certainly, you are!

And God will provide for all your needs. You need not worry

because there is nothing to worry about.
